An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 26" x 39 1/4" [66 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

Mission to Moscow, the 1943 Michael Curtiz Russia World War II (WWII) war-time political relations propaganda melodrama ("One American's journey into the truth!"; "The thrilling story of former United States Ambassador Joseph E. Davies"; "10,000 times stranger - 10,000 times stronger - Than Fiction!"; "You've heard about it- You've read about it- Now see it!"; "From the book by Joseph E. Davies") starring Walter Huston (as Joseph E. Davies), Ann Harding (as Mrs. Davies), George Tobias, Oscar Homolka (as Litvinov), Gene Lockhart (as Molotov), Helmut Dantine, Manart Kippen (as Stalin), Dudley Field Malone (as Churchill), Kurt Katch (as Timoshenko), Peter Goo Chong (as Shigemitzu), Maria Palmer (as Tanya Litvinov), John Abbott, Ivan Lebedeff, Cyd Charisse (uncredited in her third movie role), and Leigh Whipper. Note that this movie was made early in World War II by Warner Bros. at the specific request of FDR, who asked that the movie present Russia in a very positive light. Ironically, screenwriter Howard Koch was later blacklisted by the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), largely for his participation in this movie!
