An Original Vintage 7 1/4" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] Television Still (Learn More) Bobby Driscoll was a child actor from the 1940s to the 1960s. Some of his roles include: Walt Disney's Peter Pan (as the voice of Peter), Treasure island, and Song of the South. Unfortunately, he developed severe acne and was fired by Disney shortly before the release of Peter Pan in 1953. He passed away in 1968 at the age of 31. He was found in an abandoned tenement, and an autopsy concluded that he died of coronary artery disease. He was also a recovering drug addict who because of his past was deemed too risky to hire in show business. Driscoll was buried in a pauper's grave until he was identified a year later thanks to fingerprints. Important Added Info: Note that this great TV photo is an original from 1950, from when Mr. Driscoll appeared in "One Hour in Wonderland", and there are two original snipes glued to the back and a date stamp. But the still was re-used by a newspaper in 1956, when Mr. Driscoll was arrested, and the story about him was titled "Best Child Actor of 1949 Arrested on Dope Charge", and someone at the paper glued part of the newspaper story to the back of the still and date stamped it again! Also note that this TV still measures 7 1/4" x 9" [18 x 23 cm]. Condition: good to very good. There are some creases scattered through the still (because of the snipes on the back), but they are mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light. Learn More about condition grades
