Date Sold 8/16/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Movie Trade Ad (measures 10 3/4" x 15 1/2" [27 x 39 cm]) (Learn More) The White Crow: Eichmann in Jerusalem, the 1988 Irvin Kershner post-World War II (WWII) Nazi war criminal trial Jewish Holocaust melodrama (about the trial of Nazi war criminal, Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem, Israel, after he was captured) starring Robert Duvall (as Adolf Eichmann) and Glenn Close (as a lawyer interrogating Eichmann). Note that this film was never made, but the producers had a poster commissioned by legendary artist Saul Bass. We have seen a printed trade ad with the Saul Bass art, but we doubt that any movie posters were created, although concept posters (and possibly some limited edition prints) were made. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Saul Bass Important Added Info: Note that this trade ad was removed from an oversized exhibitor magazine that measured 10 3/4" x 15 1/2". It has Saul Bass art for this never made movie, and it has Bass' signature printed in the upper left (see our image). Note that this is one of fifteen Saul Bass related items we were consigned from a very longtime Saul Bass collector. While Saul Bass did some incredibly memorable movie posters (including Vertigo and Anatomy of a Murder), much of his work only appeared in print ads, often in exhibitor magazines, and locating those ads (either in the magazine, or cut out of them) is incredibly difficult, because the magazines only went to theater owners, and virtually no one saved them! This is a great opportunity to obtain extremely rare Saul Bass items. Condition: very good. The trade ad was removed from an exhibitor magazine. There are creases in the top 1/2" of the trade ad.
