An Original 1960 Vintage Theatrical Folded Twenty-Four-Sheet Movie Poster (24sh; measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More) Jack the Ripper, the 1959 (released in the U.S. in 1960) Robert S. Baker & Monty Berman English London England serial killer crime horror murder thriller ("The most diabolical murderer who ever baffled Scotland Yard!"; "Why were his victims always ladies of the night?"; "This lady of the night has taken her last walk!"; "Terror stalks the streets of an entire city gripped in screaming fear of Jack the Ripper."; "Who was the next on the grim list of history's most infamous killer - Jack the Ripper?"; "Gentleman, 'sport', madman, doctor, street tough - who was Jack the Ripper, the diabolical killer?"; "Good girl, bad girl - none of them are safe from the fatal touch of Jack the Ripper."; "Guilty and innocent are victims of an entire city's hysteria in the dread wake of Jack the Ripper"; "Ominous shapes in the dank dark turn an entire city into a mass of frenzied fear."; "The most diabolical murderer in all the annals of crime!"; "More thrills, more suspense, more excitement!"; "He'll freeze the scream in your throat!"; from an original story by Peter Hammond and Colin Craig) starring Lee Patterson, Eddie Byrne, Betty McDowall, Ewen Solon, and John Le Mesurier NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this twenty-four sheet was printed in 12 sections designed to overlap. Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Most of these items absolutely can only be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. Some of them might SEEM like they could be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet, but they can't. The reason these items are in this auction is specifically because they CAN'T be rolled (because rolling any of them would damage them, even if they somehow can be rolled). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item when ready for shipping), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. IN THE CASE OF EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, THE SHIPPING COST WILL BE VERY HIGH, SO PLEASE DO NOT BID WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT THAT ADDED SHIPPING AMOUNT, AND INCLUDE THAT AMOUNT IN WHAT YOU BID (so if you would pay $150, but the shipping is likely $100, then only bid $50). And those who live outside the U.S. and who do not have a U.S. address to ship to SHOULD NOT BID AT ALL ON EXTREMELY LARGE FLAT ITEMS, BECAUSE THEY COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO SEND OUTSIDE THE U.S. Condition: very good. Most of the panels of the poster are in pretty nice condition. The part that is folded to the outside has darkened somewhat and has a few small tears around the edges (noticeable at upper left). It is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
