It is 1977 but it is World War II. It is the tragic Allied attack on the Rhine bridge at Arnhem. It is also perhaps the biggest motion picture of all time.";"Out of the sky comes the screen's most incredible spectacle of men and war!"; "It took 14 superstars and a cast of thousands to make this once-in-a-lifetime film!"; "From the book by Cornelius Ryan"; "Screenplay by William Goldman") starring (In alphabetical order) Dirk Bogarde ("Lieutenant-General 'Boy' Browning"), James Caan ("Staff Sergeant Eddie Dohun"), Michael Caine ("Lieutenant-Colonel 'Joe' Vandeleur"), Sean Connery ("Major-General Robert Urquhart"), Edward Fox ("Lieutenant-General Brian Horrocks"), Elliott Gould ("Colonel Bobby Stout"), Gene Hackman ("Major-General Stanislaw Sosabowski"), Anthony Hopkins ("Lieutenant-Colonel John Frost"), Hardy Kruger ("General Karl Ludwig"), Laurence Olivier ("Dr. Spaander"), Ryan O'Neal ("Brigadier-General James M. Important Added Info: Note that this presskit was not sent in a folder, but was sent in a printed envelope with the title and cast credits, plus the words "PRESS MATERIAL" on it. Note that this is one of an excellent collection of 25 presskits we were consigned from the collection of Ken Williams, who was a movie reviewer for the Hamilton Journal News in Ohio! Mr. Williams was often invited to movie premieres and he would reciprocate by getting the studios excellent coverage of their movies in his newspaper! Many of the presskits that he was sent had many more supplements than are commonly seen, and it is quite likely that he was sent some supplemental material that was ONLY sent to special reviewers, and not to movie theaters. This paragraph is on each of the 25 presskits from this collection we are currently auctioning, and each clearly describes what items are included in it, so you can quickly see if there are additional items in this presskit that were not available elsewhere. Many of these 25 presskits are from top movies, and this is a rare opportunity to obtain a "movie reviewer's presskit" for those movies! Note that we have taken a picture of the cover of the presskit and eight of the stills (less than eight if the presskit has less than eight stills, of course). We have noted if the presskit contains any supplements, but we do not picture them. All of the presskits are sealed and ready to be sent, and we cannot answer any questions about the contents, especially about what any stills we may have not pictured show. REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE TOP OF THIS AUCTION TO SEE HOW MANY STILLS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS PRESSKIT, BECAUSE WE NEVER PICTURE MORE THAN EIGHT OF THEM (and we pretty much picked eight stills at random). Condition: good to very good. Many of the presskits we are auctioning this week were carefully stored away for many years, and the stills are in really excellent condition. Sometimes the folder that contains the stills (or in this case, a printed envelope) has some minor wear on it, and you should be able to see that in our super-sized image.
