An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style C One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

White Cargo, the 1942 Richard Thorpe British-in-Africa plantation romantic love triangle interracial romantic melodrama ("I Am Tondelayo!"; "From the stage play by Leon Gordon"; "Based on a novel by Ida Vera Simonton") starring Hedy Lamarr ("as Tondelayo"), Walter Pidgeon, Frank Morgan, Richard Carlson, Reginald Owen, and Henry O'Neill. Note that this was a notorious play from the 1920s that was toned down greatly for its Hollywood adaptation (most notably the title character was black in the original play, but became Egyptian/Arab in the movie).
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that the one-sheets from this movie are very scarce (I would take a guess that they were favorites of soldiers in World War II, given the large sexy image of Hedy Lamarr!). We have only auctioned the style C one-sheet three times before, and we have NEVER auctioned this style B one-sheet before!

Condition: good. The poster has many tears and some tiny areas of paper loss scattered down the vertical fold, and the top horizontal fold, with minor wear on the other two horizontal folds. It has some tape on the back of parts of the vertical fold and many pinholes in the top corners, with tape on the back of the ones in the top left corner. It has some smudges and dot stains scattered in the image (see our image).
