Date Sold 6/30/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Unfolded Special Poster (measures 11" x 17" [28 x 43 cm]) (Learn More) David Bowie was an innovative English glam rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) musician and actor from the 1960s to the 2010s. Bowie is known for his 1970s musical alter-ego, Ziggy Stardust, and his 1983 album, Let's Dance. His many hit songs include: Under Pressure (with Freddie Mercury), Modern Love, and China Girl. Some of his movies include: The Hunger, Labyrinth (as Jareth the Goblin King), and Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence. He passed away in 2016 at the age of 69 from liver cancer. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this 11" x 17" poster (printed on one-sheet-like paper) was published by the Philadelphia Enquirer in the days prior to March 14, 1976. It was distributed throughout Philadelphia, because their Sunday "Bulletin", published on March 14, had an interview with Bowie (and he had performances in Philadelphia on the 15th and 16th). This poster would only have been exhibited in stores or newsstands that sold the Philadelphia Enquirer, and it is surely extremely rare! Condition: good to very good. There is slight darkening in the middle left (caused by something that stained the back of that area). There is a 1/2" tear in the upper right blank border (see our image).
