NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Joseph Caroff/Mitchell Hooks Important Added Info: The poster was placed on to a very thin linen backing shortly after being printed. The purpose was to reinforce the poster, so that it would survive, when it was passed from theater to theater, and when it was put up on walls and taken down. Such posters can be professionally removed from the original linen and placed on to a proper linen backing. I have done this to several such posters, and they end up looking wonderful, but in the case of this poster, because it has deteriorated significantly, it will require a healthy amount of paint restoration. Note that this poster is folded several times, but NOT down to the size of a standard folded six-sheet. We will need to send it in a large flat package (approximately 18" x 24"), which will cost more to ship than a regular folded six-sheet, so please bear this in mind if you are a non-U.S. bidder and plan on bidding on this poster. Condition: fair. The poster was mounted onto a very thin linen backing . The poster was folded up and stored for many years, and it has significantly deteriorated on parts of many foldlines and in the borders, and it has completely separated on parts of some foldlines, so that it is now in three sections. Certainly, a talented restorer could remove this poster from the thin linen and properly back it, and since it is mostly "all there", it will mostly only require paint restoration in the exact areas of paper loss currently in the poster (as seen in our super-sized image). But the poster is quite fragile and has significant defects, so please do not bid on it unless you can accept its defects and are prepared to have them properly restored.
