Date Sold 12/23/2014Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Don Q Son of Zorro, the 1925 Donald Crisp silent costumed south-of-the-border masked hero romantic adventure thriller (based on the novel by Kate & Hesketh Prichard) starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr. (in the title roles; a dual role as both the son and the original Zorro!), Jack McDonald, Mary Astor, Warner Oland, Jean Hersholt, Stella De Lanti, and Donald Crisp. Note that this film was based on a book that was not written by the creator of Zorro, Johnston McCulley! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is the number one question people have from movies set in the days of dueling. You often see one man holding off many others, when all have swords. Couldn't they have simply surrounded him and quickly won? Condition: fair to good. The card has darkened, and there are some scuffs scattered in the image. It has paper loss in the corners, an area of staining across most of the bottom 1". There are light stains and tears in parts of the borders and some pinholes in the bottom corners. There was tape on the back of the middle of the left border (a thin strip of tape). That tape is gone, but the card is "sticky" in that area. In spite of the card's above many defects, it certainly could be "rescued" by a talented restorer. After proper restoration, it will look great, but bear the cost of restoration in mind before placing a bid on this card. Learn More about condition grades
