An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 15" x 23" [38 x 58 cm]) (Learn More) Polly Redhead, the 1917 Jack Conway silent romantic comedy melodrama ("The famous 'Pollyooly' stories by Edgar Jepson come to life"; based on the novel by Edgar Jepson; about a 12 year-old girl who has to support her little brother; in this story, she gets a job as a maid in the home of a wealthy attorney; the attorney has a female friend who has a daughter who looks just like Polly, and the friend's husband has sole custody, so they switch Polly for the daughter, and for a while everyone is happy, and of course, everything works out well in the end) starring Ella Hall (in the title role as Polly Redhead), Gertrude Astor, Charles Hill Mailes, Gretchen Lederer, Helen Wright, and Louise Simmons. It seems possible that this was intended to be the first of a series of movies based on Edgar Jepson stories about a 12 year-old girl, but there were never any other similar movies. The poster was tri-folded many years ago, and it can't possibly be rolled, and will be sent in a flat package that measures approximately 12" x 18" Condition: poor to fair.
