An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) The Law and the Woman, the 1922 Penrhyn Stanlaws silent crime murder melodrama ("Adapted from the Clyde Fitch play 'The Woman in the Case'") starring Betty Compson, William P. Carleton, Cleo Ridgely, Casson Ferguson, and Henry A. Barrows. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper for this title is very difficult to obtain and we have only auctioned ONE 8x10 still ever for this movie in all of our years of auctioning! Note also that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Condition: good to very good. Approximately 13" of the upper edge of the poster was exposed to moisture at one time and it has a few creases and dot stains in that area, with patches of surface paper loss near the edges (see our image). It has a few other more minor edge defects but otherwise the ultra-rare insert is in pretty nice condition and certainly it could be paperbacked and it would look wonderful!
