Leonard romantic melodrama ("From the book by David Graham Phillips"; about an orphan girl who grows up and is abused by relatives and many men; there is one good man who wanders in and out of her life, but when she sinks lower and lower, he gives up on her and becomes a drunk; later, she rises in life and is the mistress to a millionaire, and she tries to help her old friend, but he rejects the help, and finally, at the end of the movie, they have a reconciliation) starring Greta Garbo (in the title role as Susan Lenox), Clark Gable, Jean Hersholt, John Miljan, and Alan Hale Sr. Note that this is the only movie that Garbo and Gable made together! Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
