Lawrence; billed as "introducing Peter O'Toole as Lawrence"; which is odd, because he had small parts in several movies prior to this one!), and Zia Mohyeddin NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Georges Kerfyser Important Added Info: Note that this is a special French teaser poster that was sent to prestigious French theaters several months prior to the release of the film. It had opened in December of 1962 in the U.S. to qualify for the Oscars, but was not released in France until months later, so this really cool poster was sent to the theaters that would be showing the movie in France, to leave in their lobbies during those months! It features classic art of Peter O'Toole by Georges Kerfyser and mentions the 1957 David Lean/Sam Spiegel award-winning film "The Bridge on the River Kwai". What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had pinholes around the edges and minor fold and border wear. It was once hung from a wall with "sticky tack" on the back of the top corners of the linen, and there is residue of the sticky tack on the back of those two corners, but of course, it has no effect at all on the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
