Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Haunted Range, the 1926 Paul Hurst silent horror cowboy western (a cowboy has a ranch that bad guys want to buy cheaply, so they make it look like it's haunted by having "ghosts" scare off the people there) starring Ken Maynard, Tarzan (Ken Maynard's horse), Alma Rayford, Fred Burns, and The Hollywood Beauty Sextette (I don't know who they were, but I would like to know more about them!). Also, some of the advertising shows a stereotyped black man (who may be a white man wearing blackface), and that man is in the border art of some of the lobby cards, and we don't know who he is or anything about him. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: fair. Prior to linenbacking, the poster was in poor to fair condition. The poster had been folded in half an extra time and there were tears, paper loss, and creases along all the folds. The borders were extremely tattered. The person who linenbacked the poster did the best they could, replacing the borders with new paper, and in-painting on all the folds. Still, the restoration is very evident from close-up and is visible even from a couple of feet away. While a talented restorer could certainly re-back this extremely rare poster, it would be a difficult job, so please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept it as it is or are willing to pay to have additional professional restoration. It should be noted that the linenbacker did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, as many linenbackers do.
