A Linenbacked Austrian Special Poster (measures 25" x 37 1/2" [64 x 95 cm]) (Learn More)

III Internationale Pharmazeutische Ausstellung (literally translates to "III International Pharmaceutical Exhibition"), the 1913 Austrian poster promoting an international pharmacological trade fair and exhibition to take place in Vienna, Austria from September 6th to the 28th. Note that this poster features H. Pangratz art of a man holding a glass beaker in a laboratory
Artist: H. Pangratz
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was linenbacked and restored by the "Backing to the Future" company, which provided a 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" certificate stating that the restoration was performed by them in September 2017. It is only recently that we have seen a certificate like this, but we hope that many restorers will consider doing the same, because that lets the buyer know both which company did the restoration, and they can also ask them questions about the specific poster (and in this case, the poster is numbered, so that they know exactly which poster it was, in case they restored more than one example of it).

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tears and areas of paper loss across the top and bottom, in the text areas. It had some extra folds, with some tiny paper loss and tiny tears along some of the folds. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. A really talented restorer did an excellent job backing and restoring it, and it will display really nicely on the new owner's wall.
