Date Sold 7/24/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Spanish Movie Herald (measures 3 1/2" x 5" [9 x 13 cm]) (Learn More) Vampiresas 1930 (literally translates to "Gold Diggers of 1930"), the 1962 Jesus Franco (Jess Franco) Spanish/French musical romantic comedy thriller (about major silent stars who became destitute after the advent of sound movies, and they are reduced to taking any job they can get to stay alive) starring Mikaela, Antonio Ozores, Lina Morgan, Yves Massard, Antonio Garisa, and Juan Antonio Riquelme. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. Note that it might appear from the title that this is some sort of "vampire" movie, especially because it is one of Jess Franco's earliest movies (who later became known for low budget horror). But actually, it is a bizarre romantic comedy about the advent of sound movies and what it did to silent stars who couldn't adapt, and it even includes a take off on "Some Like It Hot", where stars on the run not only cross-dress as females, but they also wear blackface (talk about bad taste!). If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Jano Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" item for this partially Spanish movie! Also note that when Spanish heralds have printing on the back, we picture both sides, but when they are blank on the back, we only picture the front. Condition: fair.
