Balderston from the play by Peggy Webling"; the first of the Universal "Frankenstein" movies, and regarded as one of the finer movies of any genre, in large part due to the marvelous acting of Boris Karloff, and the marvelous direction of James Whale!) starring Colin Clive (as Dr. Herbert V. Frankenstein), Boris Karloff (as the Frankenstein monster), Edward Van Sloan, Fredric Kerr, Mae Clarke, Dwight Frye (extremely memorable as Fritz), and John Boles NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Who among us can afford the zillion dollar 1931 original one-sheet from this horror classic? To me, this 1960s re-release, with an excellent image, makes a very attractive alternative (especially considering that it is in excellent condition)! Condition: very good. Prior to linenbacking, the poster was in very good condition. The poster was in quite nice condition prior to linenbacking. There were two large "A"s stamped of the poster (probably because it was used in New Zealand, even though it was printed in the U.S.A.). One "A" was in the upper right corner in the green background and the other was in the middle left of the poster partly in the green background and partly in the monster's right hand. Whoever restored the poster very carefully painted over the "A"s, and they are only noticeable when you look carefully at the poster. There was also very minor wear along the foldlines.
