A Laminated 1980s REPRODUCTION Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) The Miracle Man, the 1919 George Loane Tucker silent crime faith healing romantic melodrama ("There is a strange fascination in The Miracle Man. It is the supreme cry of the soul made visible"; based on the play by George M. Cohan and the story by Frank M. Packard; about a gang of crooks that hide out in a small town, and they find a local faith healer, and they use him to swindle people) starring Thomas Meighan, Betty Compson, Lon Chaney Sr., Joseph J. Dowling, J.M. Dumont, and Elinor Fair. Note that this was one of Lon Chaney's first great successes (he plays the gang leader, not the faith healer; he is nicknamed "The Frog", because he can dislocate his limbs, and he uses that ability to appear to be crippled, and then has the faith healer "cure" him for gullible crowds), and sadly the movie is lost. But in 1921, Photoplay magazine took a poll of its readers as to the best movie ever to that time, and this movie was voted number one! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been laminated! It is quite likely that there is no way to reverse this process. However, I have seen many posters and lobby cards that have been laminated for over 20 years, and the lamination does not hurt the items in any way (and some of the posters were laminated as much as 40 years ago, so it certainly seems that if it were going to damage the item, it would have happened by now!), plus it seems to completely protect them, while allowing them to be easily displayed with no fear of damage.
