An Original Vintage Theatrical Australian Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 3") (Learn More) Sundown Jim, the 1942 James Tinling cowboy western ("Warning! Sheriffs Keep out _and keep healthy!"; "Jarrin' John Kimbrough crashes through again!"; "The fightin' romancin' marshal of the toughest town of the Old West!") starring John Kimbrough, Virginia Gilmore, Arleen Whelan, Joe Sawyer (billed as "Joseph Sawyer"), Paul Hurst, and Moroni Olsen. Note that star John Kimbrough was an All-American football running back, the star of the Texas A&M Aggies. He won the Heisman Trophy and was signed to a Hollywood contract. He starred in this movie and one other, and then joined the army during World War II. After the war, he became a professional football player for the Los Angeles Dons from 1946 to 1948! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is an Australian glass slide! We have never seen a 1940s Australian glass slide before, but they are very similar to U.S. ones, except they measure slightly smaller. Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good. There are a few dots of image loss scattered in the image, and many stains on the cardboard holder. Learn More about condition grades
