An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Broadway Billy, the 1926 Harry Joe Brown (billed as "Harry Brown") silent New York City boxing sports romantic love triangle melodrama (the age old story of an up and coming boxer weakened by being seduced by a vamp; but this movie adds a twist to that, where the boxer's wife spends his money so quickly that it is that which makes him susceptible to the sexy lady hired to cause him to lose the fight; also, there is a twist ending where the wife is injured in a car crash on the day of the big fight, and they don't tell the fighter husband about that, but when he learns late in the fight that she is in the hospital and is listening on the radio, he rallies and knocks out his opponent) starring Billy Sullivan (in the title role as Billy Brooks), Virginia Brown Faire, Billy Franey, Jack Herrick, and Hazel Howell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that any movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned anything other than a one-sheet from this movie until we received this glass slide! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
