A Week of Films by Kenji Mizoguchi, the circa 1970s film festival poster ("Arts Lab Cinema - Tower St."; "Sun. 27 April to Sun. 4 May"; "Lecture by Robin Wood on Mizoguchi Sunday: May 4th at 6:30 p.m.") which features the films Saikaku ichidai onna (released in the U.S. as "The Life of Oharu"), the 1952 Kenji Mizoguchi Japanese romantic melodrama starring Kinuyo Tanaka, Tsukie Matsuura, Ichiro Sugai, Toshiro Mifune, and Toshiaki Konoe AND Ugetsu monogatari, the 1953 Kenji Mizoguchi Japanese 16th century warlord fantasy thriller starring Masayuki Mori, Machiko Kyo, Kinuyo Tanaka, Eitaro Ozawa, and Ikio Sawamura AND Sansho dayu (released in the U.S. in 1955 as: "Sansho the Bailiff" and "Legend of Bailiff Sansho"), the 1954 Kenji Mizoguchi Japanese medieval melodrama starring Kinuyo Tanaka, Yoshiaki Hanayagi, Kyoko Kagawa, Eitaro Shindo, and Akitake Kono AND Shin heike monogatari (released in the U.S. as "Taira Clan Saga", and "The Taira Clan"), the 1955 Kenji Mizoguchi Japanese imperial court melodrama starring Raizo Ichikawa, Narutoshi Hayashi, Ichijiro Oya, Yoshiko Kuga, and Eitaru Shindo.
