An Original 1955 (from the first release of this movie in Russia) Vintage Theatrical Folded Russian Movie Poster (measures 19 1/4" x 27 1/4" [49 x 69 cm]) (Learn More) Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the classic 1937 David Hand Walt Disney animated animation family romantic fairy-tale fantasy musical cartoon ("His first full length feature production"; "In the Marvelous Multiplane Technicolor"; "Behold The Miracle of the Movies! Coming to amaze you, charm you, thrill you!"; "With Eight new songs as catching as 'The Big Bad Wolf.'"; "To thrill you"; "Merriment!"; "Melody!"; "Magic!"; "The dwarfs sing their marching song on the way to work."; "Walt Disney's first full length feature production"; "The show sensation of the generation!"; "Wondrously filmed in all the glories of the marvelous multiplane Technicolor"; "The Screen's Supreme Thrill! 1,000 artists worked three years to give you this once-in-a-lifetime show!... A full hour and a half of the most enthralling entertainment you ever experienced... truly the miracle in motion pictures!") featuring the voices of Adriana Caselotti (in the title role as Snow White), Harry Stockwell (as the Prince), Lucille La Verne, Moroni Olsen, and Stuart Buchanan. Note that this movie is always referred to as a "1937" movie, but it actually only had a limited opening in December 1937 (no doubt to qualify for the Oscars), and then it had its wide opening in February 1938. But because it is always referred to as being from 1937, we refer to it that way as well (and of course, it is technically correct). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Viktor Nikitin Important Added Info: Note that we have once before auctioned this poster (with a wonderful completely different artwork image by "Nikitin" of Snow White, the dwarfs, and the Evil Queen), and it auctioned for $1,150! The IMDb says that it was first released in Russia in 1955, and there is a small "55" in the bottom left border, so that certainly could be accurate, but the poster definitely has a much older "look" to the style of art and printing. It will look incredible on its new owner's wall, and be sure to stimulate a lot of conversation! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster was folded once in each direction and has pretty minor wear on both folds. It has light partial horizontal folds 1" above and below the regular middle fold. It has many pinholes, smudges, and stains around the edges. The poster can be displayed and enjoyed as it is, since most of the defects are in the blank borders, or certainly, one could choose to have it restored. Either way, the new owner will have a really cool poster to display on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
