An Original Vintage Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] TV Still (Learn More) Bob Crane was an actor from the 1950s to the 1970s. he is best remembered in the title role as Colonel Robert E. Hogan in TV's "Hogan's Heroes". He appeared in several Disney movies including Gus and Superdad. He was murdered violently in 1979 at the age of 49, and for many years, his death remained a mystery. It was later discovered he had a bizarre secret sex life, and that his best friend likely killed him! The story of his double life and his death was profiled in Paul Schrader's "Auto Focus" in 2002, starring Greg Kinnear and Willem Dafoe. Important Added Info: Note that this TV still has been personally autographed (signed) by Bob Crane! He added "Best Wishes - From Col. Hogan". Note that this is one of a wonderful collection of 91 items that were assembled by a collector decades ago, mostly from RR Auctions, which has auctioned signed items since 1976. The person who purchased these items passed away several years ago, and while he did not save most of the certificates of authenticity he received when he bought these signed items, almost all were purchased between the late 1970s and the early 1990s, and we think it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is genuine. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good. The still was glued to an album page, and it was removed, leaving paper residue on the back and causing the entire still to be rippled. It also has discoloration in the bottom left.
