A Tribute Newspaper (measures 15" x 23"; 20 pages) (Learn More)

The Hindenburg Disaster was the destruction of the German passenger airship by fire on May 6th, 1937 in New Jersey, resulting in the death of 36 people (13 passengers, 22 crewmen, and one worker on the ground). Of course, there was sensational news coverage of the disaster, as well as several hypotheses as to the cause of the ignition. The disaster is not only famous for it ending the airship transportation era, but the broadcast of the disaster by Herbert Morrison, with his phrase "Oh, the humanity!" becoming a staple in pop culture!
Important Added Info: Note that this LOOKS like a copy of the Salt Lake Telegram newspaper from the day after the Hindenburg zeppelin burned. But actually, it is some sort of special tribute newspaper about great disasters that took many lives that was put out that has pages from several different newspapers across the country, including The Cleveland Press, The Miami Herald, The San Francisco Chronicle Examiner, and several others, and every page covers a different disaster! We imagine it was printed in the 1940s, but we don't know for sure or how it was distributed. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good to very good.
