(Learn More) Son of Frankenstein, the classic 1939 Rowland V. Lee Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("Mysterious! Weird! Horrifying!"; "The greatest fear figures in screen history... all in Universal's New cavalcade of horror!"; the third Universal "Frankenstein" movie) starring Basil Rathbone (in the title role as the original Dr. Frankenstein's son), Boris Karloff (in the title role as the Frankenstein monster), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Lionel Atwill, Josephine Hutchinson, and Donnie Dunagan (as Peter von Frankenstein) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that pressbooks were prepared prior to a movie being released. Often, changes would be made in a movie advertising campaign (billing of actors, different images, etc.), and the theaters would print up special supplements that they would send out with the pressbooks that had already been printed. These supplements are very rare, far more rare than the pressbooks themselves! Some pressbooks would have no supplements, some would have one, and some would have several. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Condition: fair, WITH CUTS. There are two small cuts on one interior page and a cut on the back cover, which affected one of the one-sheets and the mini window card on the reverse side. Someone located another example of the pressbook and made copies of those areas and then taped them back in. There was also much tape on the spine of the pages. There was paper loss in the top right of the cover and across the center of the cover, and someone made color copies of those areas and taped them to the front and back of the cover. There is an uneven tear in the bottom left of the cover, which has caused a large piece to become separated. There are creases, smudges, and some stains on several of the pages and some tears around the edges. This pressbook has many very significant defects, so please read our description above and look at our super-sized image before placing a bid on this pressbook. Learn More about condition grades
