An Autographed 3" x 5" [8 x 13 cm] Index Card (Learn More) Juliet Prowse was born in India to South African parents. She was an actress from the 1950s to the 1990s. She had been in the Juliet Prowse Trio dancing in Rome, Italy, and MGM choreographer Hermes Pan saw her and recommended she be cast in the role of Shirley MacLaine's sister in Can-Can! In 1960, she became romantically involved with Frank Sinatra, and they soon became engaged, and she co-starred with Elvis Presley in G.I. Blues, and it seemed like she had an unlimited future. But then she broke up with Sinatra and her movie career fizzled. In 1965, she appeared on the short-lived TV series "Mona McCluskey", and that was the end of her TV and movie career, although she performed for a long time on the stage. She passed away in 1996 at the age of 59. Important Added Info: This index card has been personally autographed (signed) by Juliet Prowse! The index card could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Our consignor is a longtime collector and dealer. In the 1970s and 1980s, he wrote to stars and asked for autographed photos and index cards, and he also sometimes purchased signed items from other dealers. He does not have a certificate of authenticity for this item, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
