An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8 1/4" x 11" [21 x 28 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Roy Rogers (often referred to as the "King of the Cowboys") is considered one of the all-time top cowboy western actors (he started in the 1930s and worked in film until the 1950s) and was nearly always accompanied by his equally famous horse, Trigger. He had many female co-stars until he starred with Dale Evans, and they married, and remained married for over 50 years! After his movie career wound down, he and Evans had an extremely successful TV show. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that this key book still has an extra 1" in the top border with punch holes, which is attached with a perforated linen-like material. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. Sometimes key book stills simply had an extra 1" added, with a perforated linen material, as this one does, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 11" [21 x 28 cm]. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
