Important Added Info: Note that this rare unfolded Rocky Horror Picture Show poster was autographed by Mr. Curry at The Hollywood Collector's Show in March of 2014. He appeared at the show for two days, and autographed photos and memorabilia for a fee, but he signed very few posters (and we have been told by autograph collectors that he did not sign many autographs over the years at all). In addition, he only wanted to sign his name, and he would only add the "F. Furter" after his name for an additional fee, so posters signed that way are certainly far more rare than those that solely have his signature, which are also rare! Here is a link to a photo of him signing a Rocky Horror one-sheet at the show (it is not the one we are currently auctioning, because he signed several). We are auctioning three different autographed Rocky Horror one-sheets, in three separate auctions. There are two versions of this poster: one with a GAU printer logo and one with GCIU logo. We have been told that the GCIU logo wasn't trademarked until July 1983, so the theory is that any poster that carries the GCIU logo must be from 1983 or later and are either theatrical re-release posters or possibly video store posters. We do not know for sure. The poster is otherwise identical and it seems they reused the same plates from the 1975 release, and only the union logo changed. If anyone knows more about this subject, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Otherwise, know that the poster offered here has the GCIU logo and may be from 1983 or later and you should only bid if you will be happy to own the poster despite this uncertainty.
UPDATED 10/20/2014: We were given some additional information about how this poster was signed. It was at a privately arranged signing where Mr. Curry signed many items, but only a very small number of Rocky Horror Picture Show one-sheets. He has signed very few items relating to Rocky Horror over the past 39 years, and these may be among the only one-sheets he has ever signed, and there may be no others that he signed with his character name as well.
