Horrifying!"; "The greatest fear figures in screen history... all in Universal's New cavalcade of horror!"; the third Universal "Frankenstein" movie) starring Basil Rathbone (in the title role as the original Dr. Frankenstein's son), Boris Karloff (in the title role as the Frankenstein monster), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Lionel Atwill, Josephine Hutchinson, and Donnie Dunagan (as Peter von Frankenstein) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of four wonderful Universal heralds we were consigned for this auction (they are from Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Son of Frankenstein, and The Mummy). We are auctioning them in four separate auctions. Since first release posters and even lobby cards from these movies cost astronomical amounts, these heralds are a wonderful way to include first release paper from these titles in a horror collection. This is a rare opportunity to acquire one or more of these wonderful Universal heralds! Condition: good. Like most heralds, this one had a blank back cover that was overprinted with theater information (see our image). When the heralds were overprinted, they came off the press and laid on top of each other, and the cover of this one received ink transfer from the back of the one on top of it, resulting in much light ink transfer scattered throughout the cover (see our image of the cover). It is light, but very noticeable. We don't know if it can be removed professionally, and it does not affect the great 2-page interior spread. The herald was folded across the middle at one time.
