A 1964 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) North to Alaska, the 1960 Henry Hathaway Yukon comedy cowboy western ("These were the giants who fought and loved their way to the top of the world!"; "In all the 50 states you won't find a fun-filled adventure like it!"; "Big Sam and the Big Adventure!"; "When Big Sam wanted somethin', he got it - the best! When he did somethin', he did it big... Like taming a woman the way you tame the land! Or fighting until the last man was down! Now Big Sam was set. He and the Seattle pleasure palace doll were on their way - to the top of the world!"; "Big Sam and 'Angel' the pleasure palace doll take you to the top of the world!"; "and Johnny Horton sings 'North to Alaska'"; "Based on the Play 'Birthday Gift' by Lazlo Fodor from an idea by John Kafka") starring John Wayne ("as Big Sam"), Stewart Granger ("as His Partner"), Ernie Kovacs ("as Frankie"), Fabian ("as Brother Billy"), Capucine ("as Angel, The Pleasure Doll"), and Mickey Shaughnessy. Note that Johnny Horton, who sang the title song for this movie, died in a tragic car accident one day after the song was released, and five days before the film's premiere. He was 35 years old.
