An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Kraftbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 25" x 39 1/4") (Learn More) Dig Up, the 1922 Craig Hutchinson silent comedy short (produced by Hal Roach) starring 'Snub' Pollard, Marie Mosquini, Charles Stevenson, Wallace Howe, and Mickey Daniels (IMDb doesn't credit him, but he appears on a lobby card). Note that the one-sheet poster for this movie has a great stone litho of Snub Pollard and Marie Mosquini, and Pollard is smoking a cigarette through a spigot from a wine or whisky barrel (which looks to be his own invention, and of course, it might not be tobacco he is smoking)! Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 25" x 39 1/4". This poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great! Condition: poor. The poster was trimmed (either before or after it was kraftbacked), and it now measures 25" x 39 1/4". There is significant paper loss in the lower left, and many stains around the edges of the poster, more so in the top right corner, and some staining within the image, and some areas of paper loss. Amazingly, I believe this is the sort of poster that will respond really well to restoration! Even though it has MANY significant defects, they are primarily in the background areas, and almost none of the image or titles is missing. I would think that a lot of the staining can be removed through chemical means, and after professional restoration, the poster will likely look quite nice, without a lot of paint in the image or title areas. Fair But please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its significant defects or are willing to pay to have it properly restored! Learn More about condition grades
