An Undated (probably 1944) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Autographed One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Kid From Spain, the 1932 Leo McCarey romantic musical comedy (featuring choreography by Busby Berkeley; about two college friends who get kicked out of school and go to Mexico where they have many adventures, and meet great Spanish bullfighter Eddie Cantor!) starring Eddie Cantor, Lyda Roberti and The Goldwyn Girls (who included then-unknown Jane Wyman, Toby Wing, Betty Grable, and Paulette Goddard), Noah Beery Sr., Robert Young, J. Carrol Naish, Grace Poggi (a Spanish dancer discovered by Samuel Goldwyn, who does a rumba in the film that is said to be "good for rheumatic and tired old business men"!), and Sidney Franklin (an American matador, as himself). Note that Busby Berkeley's assistant on the movie was Fred Zinnemann, who would go on to great fame as a great director of some of the best movies of all time! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) twice (at lower left and upper right) by Robert Young ("Cordially Robert Young")! Note that this one-sheet was consigned to us by an individual who owned a company that made movies and videos with famous celebrities in the 1980s and 1990s. The owner of the company would have the celebrities sign items from their famous films, and sometimes he would find second or third celebrities to autograph an item he already had gotten signed! In addition, he would ask celebrities he came in contact with if they had signed items from other stars that they would sell to him, and he purchased a number of items that way. He also would purchase unsigned items from the famed Larry Edmunds Bookshop in Los Angeles (to have the celebrities sign), and while he was doing that he would also purchase some of their signed items. So this autographed one-sheet we are auctioning was either obtained in person, obtained from celebrities who obtained them in person, or obtained from the Larry Edmunds Bookshop, and we feel certain that the autograph(s) on this poster is authentic! Condition: fair to good. The poster has become brittle with age and there is much separation along the vertical fold with some areas of paper loss along the foldlines and edges.
