An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" Movie Still (Learn More) East Lynne, the 1931 Frank Lloyd romantic love triangle melodrama ("The Heart Throb of Humanity"; "Soul-Sweeping!... ...Heart-Tugging!"; "Settings by Joseph Urban"; "Fox Movietone Production"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; based on the book by Mrs. Henry Wood; about a woman who throws away her unloving marriage for an affair with a dashing captain, and pays the price) starring Ann Harding, Clive Brook, Conrad Nagel, Cecilia Loftus, Beryl Mercer, and Wallie Albright. Note that there had been twelve silent movies based on this book, but after this sound version, the book was never remade again as a movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of the still, and then folded over to the front. This was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby (and of course, the snipe would be folded backwards, so it would not show). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THE SNIPE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE FRONT OF THE STILL! Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4". Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
