An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Drifter, the 1929 Robert De Lacey (billed as "Robert De Lacy") silent cowboy western ("Cyclonic Tom Mix and Tony action!") starring Tom Mix, Bernard Bolden ("and his white mule Uncle Sam"), Dorothy Dwan, Barney Furey, Albert J. Smith, and Ernest Wilson. Note that the ads for this movie credited "Bernard Bolden and his white mule Uncle Sam" right after Tom Mix and Tony, and yet the IMDb does not list this actor (or his mule), so we don't know who he was or whether he had much of a film career. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. There is slight smudging on the glass (it is not very distracting, and it could likely be cleaned). The cardboard holder has staining or smudges around the staples, but the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
