14 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Stills (Learn More)

Reflections in a Golden Eye, the bizarre 1967 John Huston military romantic thriller ("In the loosest sense he is her husband... And in the loosest way she is his wife!"; "Most women in her situation would do the very same thing! They just wouldn't do it as well, or as often!"; "Leave the children home."; "Based on the Novel by Carson McCullers"; "Screenplay by Chapman Mortimer and Gladys Hill"; with gay homosexual overtones) starring Elizabeth Taylor ("Elizabeth Taylor: The Major's wife - the kind of woman every man wants... except her husband."), Marlon Brando, Brian Keith ("Brian Keith: The Colonel - he had the roughest job in the army, taking care of the major's wife."), Julie Harris ("Julie Harris: The Colonel's wife - she does not desire... she does not lust. She watches those who do."), Robert Forster (in his first movie role), Zorro David (a beautician and painter who made this one movie!), and Harvey Keitel (in an uncredited role in his first film)

Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 14 STILLS, BUT ONLY FOUR OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 14 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the four pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made no effort to find the best four stills in the lot, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills. Please note that this lot of 14 stills includes the special set of 9 stills called "Story-in-Pictures". This was something that was done in the early 1960s. A set of 9 stills were created that were numbered, and they were designed to be placed in the lobbies of theaters in number order, and each of the stills had a long paragraph on the bottom that basically told you the entire story of the movie. I guess these sets were intended to serve as a kind of written preview of the movie with pictures, but apparently, they were not very popular, since I have only seen a few of them (perhaps the problem was that no one at the studio wanted to take the time to create them!). In any event, I think they are pretty cool, and they are definitely far more rare than the regular stills from the corresponding movies (these were made in ADDITION to the regular stills, not in place of them). This lot contains a supplemental sheet which explains about the story-in-picture stills. In addition to those 9 special stills, there are also 5 "regular" stills. Finally, note that some of the stills measure smaller than 8x10, but none of them appear to have been trimmed.

Condition: fine. Note that these stills are in quite nice condition!
