the 1965 English double-bill release ("Thrill upon thrill! Shock after shock!") of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, the classic 1960 Alfred Hitchcock (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) psychotic killer horror thriller ("The master of suspense moves his cameras into the icy blackness of the unexplored!"; "A new - and altogether different - screen excitement!!!"; "The master suspense-showman creates something new - and altogether different - in screen excitement!!!"; "Alfred Hitchcock's new and altogether different screen excitement!"; "The screen's master of suspense moves his cameras into the icy blackness of the unexplored..."; based on the novel by Robert Bloch; "Screenplay by Joseph Stefano") starring Anthony Perkins (as Norman Bates), Vera Miles (as Lila Crane), John Gavin (as Sam Loomis), Martin Balsam (as Detective Arbogast), John McIntire (as Sheriff Chambers), Janet Leigh (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; "as Marion Crane"), Mort Mills (as the Highway Patrol Officer), and Patricia Hitchcock (the director's daughter, in a small role) AND H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds, the classic 1953 Byron Haskin science fiction (sci-fi) alien-invasion action thriller (produced by George Pal; based on the classic H.G. Wells novel) starring Gene Barry, Ann Robinson, Les Tremayne, Robert Cornthwaite, and Lewis Martin

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that Paramount re-released both of these classic movies in 1965, but it appears that only in England they were released as a double bill, because we have not seen a double bill poster from any other country. Also note that this poster measures 30" x 40", and it was made with thin left and right borders that give the illusion that it might have been trimmed, but it definitely has not been trimmed!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had some scuffs and fine surface paper loss on parts of the folds and some pinholes, smudges, and scuffs around the edges. It had two small areas of paper loss in the bottom horizontal fold, in the red area. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
