A 1944 Re-Release Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Kid From Spain, the 1932 Leo McCarey romantic musical comedy (featuring choreography by Busby Berkeley; about two college friends who get kicked out of school and go to Mexico where they have many adventures, and meet great Spanish bullfighter Eddie Cantor!) starring Eddie Cantor, Lyda Roberti and The Goldwyn Girls (who included then-unknown Jane Wyman, Toby Wing, Betty Grable, and Paulette Goddard), Noah Beery Sr., Robert Young, J. Carrol Naish, Grace Poggi (a Spanish dancer discovered by Samuel Goldwyn, who does a rumba in the film that is said to be "good for rheumatic and tired old business men"!), and Sidney Franklin (an American matador, as himself). Note that Busby Berkeley's assistant on the movie was Fred Zinnemann, who would go on to great fame as a great director of some of the best movies of all time! The poster had small tears and tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, with some separation on parts of the folds. It had a 5" horizontal tear in the lower right background area, with a few tiny pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
