An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Ruth Chatterton was a stage and screen actress from the 1920s to the 1950s. Because she was an established Broadway star before she turned to Hollywood, she was a leading star from her first movie! She is best remembered as Fran Dodsworth in the movie "Dodsworth". Some of her other movies include: Frisco Jenny, The Right To Love, Madame X (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Sarah & Son (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), and Lilly Turner. She was also a licensed pilot who flew her own plane across the country! Ruth passed away in 1961 at the age of 68. Important Added Info: Note that this still is from a stage play and measures 7 3/4" x 10". Also note that it is on a heavier weight stock and that it has a stamp on the back that says "PUBLISHED JUN 4 1950". Finally, note the still also has a photographer credit stamped on the back of "Lucas - Pritchard", which is also embossed in the lower right corner of the front of the still. Condition: good to very good. still was used in a magazine and there are grease pencil crop marks; there is a circular indentation in Chatterton's hair caused by someone writing on the back, but it is not very noticeable from the front Learn More about condition grades
