An Undated (probably 1970s) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French "Petite" Movie Poster (measures 17" x 21" [43 x 53 cm]) (Learn More) Flaming Star, the 1960 Don Siegel Native American Indian cowboy western musical ("Half Breed, Torn between two loyalties... Two loves - and fighting to save them both!"; "The white man's song was on his lips... But an Indian war cry was in his heart!"; "Choose!... Between your white father... and your Kiowa mother!"; "Fight!... Even though it's your own brother!"; "Elvis Presley brings you all the force and fury of 'Flaming Star'"; "Sing!... For tomorrow the song on your lips will turn into a war cry that rings out across the world!"; "Elvis acts! Elvis sings!"; "Screenplay by Clair Huffaker & Nunnally Johnson") starring Elvis Presley (billed "As Pacer, The Half Breed brings you all the force and fury of Flaming Star"), Barbara Eden, Steve Forrest, Dolores Del Rio, John McIntire, Rodolfo Acosta (as Buffalo Horn), and Anne Benton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Boris Grinsson Important Added Info: Note that this poster is undated and has completely different art from the first release poster we have seen. We think it is likely a re-release, and it was printed on a glossy paper stock, which would seem to certainly mean it is not from 1960. It is possibly not French at all, but we don't know what other country it would be from! There was some sort of tiny writing in the bottom left that was blacked out. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept the many uncertainties as to its origin. Condition: good to very good. The poster had pinholes in the corners and tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. There were many creases and scuffs scattered throughout the poster. There was a horizontal fold with creases on that fold, and a slightly diagonal vertical foldline with many creases and scuffs on that fold. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
