The Hit, the 1984 (released in the U.S. in 1985) Stephen Frears English kidnapping hit man crime black comedy ("Even Bad Guys Have Bad Days"; "Title Music Eric Clapton"; "Written by Peter Prince"; about a former hit man who decides to leave the "business", and he moves to Spain; but ten years later, two hit men show up and kidnap him, intending to take him back to his former colleagues and have him tried and executed) starring John Hurt, Tim Roth, Laura Del Sol, Terence Stamp, Bill Hunter, Fernando Rey, Lennie Peters, and Bernie Searle. Note that this was director Stephen Frears' first theatrical movie after a long series of TV work. He assembled a cast of excellent actors, and his very next movie made him a major director, "My Beautiful Laundrette".
