What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had many creases, tears, smudges, and stains around the edges, with some creases and scuffs scattered in the image. It was lightly partially folded at one time. The poster was reused during a 1963 re-release and there is a 1963 re-release NSS number stamped in the extreme top left corner. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and there was damage in the NSS number at lower right, and the restorer incorrectly restored it to "56/133" when it should read "56/183".
