Original Vintage Theatrical "Other Company" Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Boy Meets Girl, the 1938 Lloyd Bacon Hollywood screenwriter movie-making romantic screwball comedy ("The season's laugh treat!"; "Stage play produced by George Abbott"; about a pair of Hollywood screenwriters who are assigned to write a screenplay for the studio's top cowboy star, whose career has been going downhill lately) starring James Cagney, Pat O'Brien, Marie Wilson, Ralph Bellamy, Frank McHugh, Dick Foran, and Ronald Reagan. Note that this was one of those "inside" Hollywood movies that get made from time to time. The screenwriters are obviously based on Hecht and McArthur, and the studio president is based on Darryl Zanuck!

Important Added Info: Note that this was printed by the "other company". This was a company in the Midwest that in the late 1930s and early 1940s printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets for major studio movies (mostly Warner Brothers and MGM, but also some other studios). The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They never have the name of the releasing studio on the poster or any of the lobby cards. Sometimes, "other company" posters or lobby cards have sold for more than the regular studio release posters or lobby cards!

Condition: very good to fine. card has darkened slightly with age; very minor scuffs throughout the card
