An Original Vintage Theatrical 10 1/2" x 13 1/2" [27 x 34 cm] Stage Play Still (Learn More)

The Racket, the 1927 - 1928 Broadway stage play production (of the Bartlett Cormack play) starring Edward G. Robinson, Marion Coakley, John Cromwell, Fred Irving Lewis, and Romaine Callender. This play was adapted into the 1928 classic film "The Racket" which starred Thomas Meighan, Louis Wolheim and Marie Prevost. Note that Edward G. Robinson had made his first movie in 1916, and another in 1923, but those were just bit parts. In 1913, he started in the Yiddish Theater, and moved to Broadway in 1915, where he became a major star. But because of his age and non-matinee-idol looks, Hollywood did not see much value in him UNTIL sound movies came in, when Broadway actors were all hired. Robinson made one movie in 1929 and 14 more between 1930 and 1932, including "Little Caesar".
Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 10 1/2" x 13 1/2" [27 x 34 cm], but it has not been trimmed.

Condition: very good. There is tiny paper loss in two corners and a separated piece in a third corner that has a piece of tape on the back. There is a small tear in the right of the top border that has a piece of clear tape on the back.
