Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny creases along parts of the folds (and it was folded in half an extra time). It had some creases and scuffs scattered in the metallic gold background areas, and pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Also, after the poster was backed, someone put two pieces of tape on the bottom center of the poster and the excess linen. It was later removed or fell off, but it left tape stains in that area (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
