A Vintage Softcover Book (measures 11 1/4" x 14 1/2" [29 x 37 cm]; 71 pages) (Learn More) The March of Time was a short film series sponsored by Time Inc. and shown in movie theaters from 1935 to 1951. It was based on a radio news series broadcast from 1931 to 1945. The "voice" of both series was Westbrook Van Voorhis. Produced and written by Louis de Rochemont and his brother Richard de Rochemont, The March of Time was recognized with an Academy Honorary Award in 1937. Important Added Info: Note that this was a special softcover book created by the people behind the March of Time newsreels, giving information about how they were made and about some of the content in them. Included is a story called "Price and Prejudice", which shows Walt Disney at a desk with giant Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck plush toys! We have never auctioned it before! Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. Condition: fair to good.
