An Original 1946 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage German Film Program (measures 5" x 10 1/2" [13 x 27 cm]; 6 pages) (Learn More) No Time For Love, the 1943 Mitchell Leisen romantic comedy (about a beautiful reporter who accidentally causes a tunnel digger [sandhog] to be suspended from his job, so she hires him during the suspension because she feels guilty, and naturally, these completely opposite people fall madly in love!) starring Claudette Colbert, Fred MacMurray, Ilka Chase, Richard Haydn, Paul McGrath, and June Havoc. Note that this movie included a fantasy sequence where Fred MacMurray is a superhero in a costume. The costume looks very similar to that of the Fawcett comic hero Captain Marvel. No doubt this is because when Captain Marvel was created in 1939, artist C.C. Beck used Fred MacMurray as his inspiration for the character, and surely this sequence was inspired by the comic character! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this program is from a special series of showings of American movies in the "American Zone" of West Germany beginning in 1945, and running for the next three years or so (apparently, Laura was so popular that it was shown in both 1946 and 1947, and there are two different programs for these two different showings). Each of these special programs have "Published with approval of Military Government" printed on the back. In 1946, West Germany began having regular showings of American movies, and the same movies that were shown in these special showings between 1945 and 1948 were again shown beginning in 1946, so there would be two different programs for each of these movies, one like this, and one "regular" program issued later. Also note that this program has six pages, but it is printed on a large single sheet that is tri-folded (we have photographed each side of the program completely unfolded). Condition: good. The program has two punch holes in the center of the left of the cover and in the corresponding area on the interior pages, because the program was stored in a 2-ring binder.
