If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. The modern version of the circus started in 1919 when the Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth, a circus created by P. T. Barnum and James Anthony Bailey, was merged with the Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows. With weakening attendance and high operating costs, the circus closed on May 21st, 2017 after 146 years. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the foldlines. It had tears, stains, and small paper loss in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
