An Original Vintage Theatrical Twenty-Four-Sheet Movie Poster (measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More) Merrill's Marauders, the 1962 Samuel Fuller World War II (WWII) military melodrama ("Never have men fought so long and so hard and so gloriously to victory!"; "True story! Incredible story! Their own doctor said they were through - and then they came up off the ground to batter their way to glory across 500 jungle miles of terror behind the enemy lines!"; "So you've killed a lot and you've bled a lot and your guts are wracked and your nerves are mauled and an inch is a mile and an hour is forever.... Man, your war has just begun - you're one of Merrill's Marauders"; "How they fought those last 500 miles will remain forever in your memory!"; "The men who 'couldn't' go on -- the mission that 'couldn't' be done -- the picture that can't be forgotten!"; "From the book by Charlton Ogburn, Jr.") starring Jeff Chandler (in the title role as Brigadier General Frank D. Merrill; in his final movie role), Ty Hardin, Peter Brown, Will Hutchins, Andrew Duggan, and Claude Akins. Note that Chandler injured his back while making this film, and later died during an operation to repair the damage (his death was later determined to be a result of medical malpractice). He was 42 years old. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that many 24-sheets are found tri-folded, but this one had each section folded roughly in half (since the sections are so big, the poster will still need to be sent in a large oversized flat package, just not as large as if it was solely tri-folded). This twenty-four sheet was printed in 12 sections. Condition: very good. There is darkening on the outside of the section that was on the outside when the poster was fully folded, and there are some tears and small areas of paper loss on the foldlines of that piece (that section is in the top left corner of the poster). The other sections of the poster are in pretty good condition! Learn More about condition grades
