An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Roped, the 1919 John Ford (billed as "Jack Ford") silent family relationship arranged marriage blackmail melodrama (not that much of a western; about a wealthy ranch owner who ends up with a mail order bride; they have a son, but the wife's mother finds a richer husband for her daughter, so she kidnaps the baby and tells the ranch owner the baby died and that his wife doesn't love him anymore, and the ranch owner leaves, but later he learns the truth and retrieves his family) starring Harry Carey Sr., Neva Gerber, Mollie McConnell, Arthur Shirley, and J. Farrell MacDonald. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: fair to good. There is a semi-circular crack in the top right corner of the back pane, but it is not very noticeable from the front. There is slight smudging on the glass (it is not very distracting, and it could likely be cleaned). Learn More about condition grades
