An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Sheet Music (measures 10 1/2" x 14" [27 x 36 cm]; 5 pages) (Learn More) The Tik-Tok Man of Oz, the 1913 - 1914 stage play production starring Frank F. Moore, James C. Morton (in the title role as Tik-Tok), and Ilon Bergere. According to Wikipedia, it is "loosely inspired by Baum's book Ozma of Oz (1907), incorporates much of the material from Baum's book Tik-Tok and the Nome King (1913), and was the basis for his 1914 novel, Tik-Tok of Oz." It was promoted as "A Companion Play to The Wizard of Oz" and directed by Frank M. Stammers. The play is known from its advertising and published music, but survives only in earlier manuscript. If anyone knows more about this stage play, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Rowland Important Added Info: Note that this sheet music is for the song "Ask the Flowers to Tell You". We previously auctioned two examples of sheet music from this stage play (but both of those were for different songs from this one and from each other) and they auctioned for $90 and $82. Condition: good. There is paper loss in the top right corner of each page, but it is solely in the blank area on all the pages other than the above and on the cover it solely affects a little bit of the red background. There is also small paper loss in the right of the bottom border of the cover and the first interior page, but again it doesn't affect any text or images (see our image).
